Two single beds with wardrobe and their own flat-screen TV – ideal for children, teenagers or travellers who prefer separate beds.
Beds are made up on arrival. A travel cot for infants is available on request – just mention it when booking.

The bathroom has a level-access shower, WC and washbasin. An additional guest WC makes mornings noticeably easier when four people want to leave at once. Underfloor heating here as well.

South-facing terrace with barbecue
The terrace faces south and is screened from the sides. Garden furniture, a parasol and a barbecue are included. On sunny days it stays in the sun from morning until evening – one reason many of our guests sit out there far longer than planned.

Questions and answers
How many people can stay in the apartment?
The apartment sleeps up to 4 guests: one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. A travel cot for infants is available on request.
How far is the beach?
The sandy beach is about 10 minutes away on foot. The fishing harbour on the Achterwasser lagoon is a similar distance – Zempin sits on one of the narrowest points of the island, with only a few hundred metres between the Baltic Sea and the lagoon.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Bed linen yes, towels no. Beds are made up on arrival and Wi-Fi is free of charge. We do not provide towels – not even for an extra fee. Please bring your own hand, bath and beach towels. A washing machine is available in the apartment. Please see the rates page for everything else that is included.
Are pets allowed?
No. Nele is a non-smoking apartment and unfortunately we cannot accept pets.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 16:00 Uhr, check-out by 10:00 Uhr. In high season (late June to early September) Saturday is both arrival and departure day; the rest of the year you can arrive on any day except Sunday. Sunday departures carry a 50 € surcharge for holiday cleaning.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes. In high season (late June to early September) we let the apartment by the week, Saturday to Saturday – seven nights. The rest of the year stays from two nights are possible.
What does the final cleaning cost?
125 € per stay, regardless of how long you stay. It is added automatically in the booking calendar, so the price you see is the total.
Is booking direct cheaper than the booking platforms?
Yes. Platforms charge commission that ends up in the rate. Booking here avoids that mark-up – and if you have a question or a special request, you reach us directly rather than a call centre.
Is there a travel cot or a high chair?
Both are available free of charge. Just add them during booking and they will be ready when you arrive.
How does booking work?
You book directly with us through the calendar on this site – no portal fees. A deposit of 25 % of the rent is due on booking, the balance 4 Wochen vor Anreise. Payment by PayPal or bank transfer. We do not take a security deposit.
Is the visitor's tax added on top?
No. Booking directly through this site, the visitor's tax of 3,70 € per person per night is already included in the price shown – there is nothing to pay on arrival. You receive the UsedomCard, which includes free travel on the island railway lines RB 23 and RB 24. More about this
Is there parking?
Yes, a free parking space at the house is included. Since the bakery, the station, the beach and the lagoon are all walkable, most guests leave the car where it is for the whole week. There is no supermarket in the village though – the nearest one is a few minutes' drive away.
Is there Wi-Fi and television?
Yes – free Wi-Fi throughout, a 50-inch smart TV with streaming in the living room and a flat-screen TV in each bedroom.
Does Zempin have a pier?
No. The 1933 pier did not survive the Second World War and was never rebuilt. The nearest pier is in Koserow, about 3.8 km away: 280 metres long, rebuilt in 2021, with a bell tower at the end. That is precisely why the beach in Zempin stays so pleasantly quiet.
Can I book outside the summer months?
Yes, the apartment is available all year. Underfloor heating in the living room, kitchen and bathroom plus electric blackout shutters keep it comfortable in autumn and winter. May, June and September are particularly pleasant on Usedom: mild weather, far fewer people.
